The Difference Between Warm Mist Humidifiers and Vaporizers
You are probably not the only person who cannot tell the difference between warm mist humidifiers and vaporizers. As a matter of fact, they differ in some very simple things, but both of these devices provide high level of safety, which is extremely important for you and your whole family. As the majority of dermatologists say both humidifiers and vaporizers are very useful against cold, flu symptoms and dry skin, but still there is a difference that you should know about.
Speaking about a warm mist humidifier we can say that it actually boils the water in its reservoir in the same way a vaporizer does. Still, the humidifier does something that the vaporizer doesn’t do – it first cools the resulting mist before spreading it out into the room. In that way the vapor going out into the room is safe for everyone around. You don’t have to worry about your kids as long as you keep them away from the machine. Even if they come too close, there’s a very little chance of burning if you unintentionally knock it onto the floor.
On the other hand, a vaporizer does not cool the vapor before releasing it out of the machine. In fact, it spreads out steam in its purest form. Unlike warm mist humidifier, you should be very cautious with the vaporizer as getting too near may absolutely cause you serious burns. Having that in mind, you should better provide a warm mist humidifier, especially if you have young kids in your home.
