Mist Humidifier
The proper level of humidity can be maintained by supplying mist humidifier in your house. They prevent many unwanted effects of dryness to wood furniture and other valuable objects since they keep the humidity level within the healthy limits. They are good for the prevention of sinus headache, dry skin, sneezing, and coughing that usually happen because of dry air.
There are two types of mist humidifiers, the warm moisture or warm mist and cool moisture or cool mist humidifiers. No matter the fact that they are different they give the same results. Both types are made in such a way as to improve the level of humidity in the air, so it is up to you whether or not you will choose a cool or warm mist humidifier.
Warm mist humidifiers have a heating component for warming up the water, producing a hot steam in the room. Some types of warm mist humidifiers can have an optional absorption pad for mineral absorption. It is a part of a heating component which accumulates the mineral deposit generated from the warm water. It depends on the hardness of the water how much mineral deposits it will collect. It is very economical to provide the optional pad since there are no other filters that need to be changed with the warm mist humidifier. Even though more electricity is used for the heating component, in comparison to the cool mist humidifier the warm one is proven to be less expensive for a long period of time in future.
The water inside a warm mist humidifier is very hot, so you have to be very cautious with your children in order to prevent them from coming closer. The warm moisture humidifier makes the air in the room warmer to some extent by releasing hot steam in the air. These humidifiers are perfect for small rooms since they cannot produce enough moisture to cover larger areas.
There are two types of the cool mist humidifiers, the Ultrasonic humidifiers and Evaporative humidifiers.
The ultrasonic humidifier has a little metal diaphragm that vibrates at ultrasonic frequency. It produces small water drops that are turned into a vapor mist and spreads out minerals from the water which are called white dust. Using distilled water in the system you can check the generation of white dust. Such humidifiers function almost silently.
The evaporative humidifiers have a fan that blows off the dry air of the room through the evaporative wick filter. This filter is made of absorbent, paper-based materials and it is placed within the humidifier’s base for soaking water. When the air is blown through the wick filter by the fan, the water in the wick filter evaporates. This evaporated water is dispersed in the room as humidified air. The wick filter may influence the growth of bacteria and fungi.
