The majority of people are curious to find out how warm mist humidifiers work. Well, it is very simple to answer this question. A warm mist humidifier evaporates steam, which is actually the water that was first heated. It passes through a filter, and circulates into the room. On the other hand, a cool mist humidifier has a “wick” and a “fan”. Water is picked up in a wick and then released into the air with a fan. Furthermore, warm mist humidifiers usually make less noise, but they use more energy because they steam water.
