Cold humidifiers are more commonly known as cool mist humidifiers. If you are thinking of buying one take into consideration three different types.
The first one is an ultrasonic humidifier which makes cool mist by vibration. However, it is not so popular as it leaves behind white. Another type is an evaporative humidifier which uses fan for the transmission of moisture into the air. And the third type and the most universal is the impeller humidifier. It throws water at a diffuser thus making fine droplets that get into the air.
